The new combined Athens & Piraeus tour is now available taking around 70 minutes. From Piraeus, the main port of Greece and the biggest in Mediterranean, our tour is a mix of ancient history and modern development.
We stop at the main harbour, with its cruise boats, travel past Marina Zea harbour, with its myriad of tall mast ships, schooners and cruisers, and onward past Microlimano harbour, a pretty fishing port where once Themistocles' victorious Triremes were berthed before the epic, history changing - sea battle of nearby Salamis. The archaeological and nautical museums here are well worth a visit. Moreover we will stop at all the major sights in Athens dating from both ancient times and the present day including the Acropolis, Parthenon, New Acropolis Museum, National Archeological Museum and the Plaka!

Absolutely as described on the tin! Very helpful staff at Piraeus and in Athens itself. They even laid on extra busses to ensure all cruise passangers returned to the port on time. Well done.

I never do this kind of touristy thing because I usually like to explore a city on my own. I have been to Athens 5 times and this last time I decided this would be a way to get a lay of the land with a little background on the different monuments and cultural institutions. I bought the Athens- Piraeus tour on a Saturday for 22 euros and was told it was good for 2 days. The first day I did the whole Athens-Piraeus route which took close to three hours. The people who stand at the stops to sell tix/help you on and off are super friendly and helpful. The busdriver does not provide commentary, rather it is a recorded voice in several langauges. The first day the sound quality in the seat I was sitting in was not great and I could barely understand what the woman was describing. I realized that it was the bus and not me because on the second day, she was clear as a bell. I saw a lot of things I had seen before but many things I had not - like the Olympic stadium rebuilt in 1896 for the first modern games. The Piraeus part was a bit underwhelming mostly because aside from a museum stop, there was not a stop that seemed close to a place you'd like to walk around. I could see a myriad of restaurants on the water but all the harbor stops were before or way after so i didn't "hop off." The bus redeposited me at the Acropolis where I walked to Monasteraki for lunch. The second day I just did Athens again for the 90 minutes. It was well worth doing it the second time if just for the sound quality. Both days I sat on the upper level and got a good tan!

The bus stops right outside the cruise port terminal, so it was very convenient. The major stops had people there to help you and answer questions. I would highly suggest the Hop on Hop off Tour.

The hop on hop off was a great way to see Athens and Pireaus. we were able to sightsee at our own pace at a very reasonable price--the earphone commentary in most languages was a big plus, also.

Very pleased with this service, excellent value for money. The bus was waiting just outside the cruise terminal and the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. Buses ran at regular intervals in a timely manner. The commentary was good and informative. Would not hesitate to use this service again.

The hop-on hop-off tour was more than we expected - we combined the blue line with our pre-purchased red line. When we redeemed our 24hour voucher they told us there was a second day free - with the blue line that made three days - awesome.

Excellent way to tour the city and decide what you would like to see. Recommend using your own earphones though. We took the 90 minute tour and then went around a second time to sightseeing after choosing where to get off. The commentary was good and the staff were very helpful. Will use this service where ever I go in future.
