“A fantastic trip to an absolutely amazing place.” This was an incredible day. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Greece and Delphi in particular, the bus driver was great and did his best with terrible traffic. The site and the museum were truly incredible, and well worth the long drive out. The lunch is nothing special, but there was nothing wrong with it!

“Great trip and amazing sites. Our tour guide, Gemma, was fantastic!” Great trip and amazing sites. Our tour guide, Gemma, was fantastic! Only problem was the bus. It was very uncomfortable. Seats were so close together. I am tall so my legs would not fit behind the other seat.

“Imprescindible su visita” Guía estupenda. Sabe transmitir su gran conocimiento de la historia de Delfos. Impensable haberlo visitado por libre puesto que me hubiese perdido muchos de los mitos y leyendas de la zona...

Also posted on TripAdvisor After much discussion and reading reviews - I decided to take the chance with Key Tours. So my opinions are below: Pickup: Key Tours offered us an alternative pickup location due to our hotel being outside of central Athens, we were picked up from the new location -another hotel- on time which was a great start. The Bus: Good , clean and aircon'd vehicle on route to Delphi - very happy with the quality of the transport. The Trip to the Site: Our guide Gemma provided excellent commentary which helped pass the time on route to the site - there is some nice views to be had on the way as well. There was one good rest stop - you can buy coffee or have a munch, use the rest rooms etc on route. At Delphi: We had a guided tour of the main areas and then around 40 mins or so to explore and take pictures - I was expecting this as you never get enough time on guided tours, it would have been nicer to have more time.. but not much you can do here.. as long as you are aware you will have limited time on site, so don't waste it, take a look around and start taking pictures straight away. The Temple of Apollo/Treasure etc will be explained to you then you can explore for awhile on your own. You will then be given a good tour of the main objects of the museum which was really good - Gemma gave a great overview of the objects in the building, I was disappointed there was no time to check out the shop though. Once this is done, if you opt'd for lunch you will go to the arranged restaurant for food. I HIGHLY recommended you don't do this, and request to be dropped off at the town on route to the lunch spot. This will give you an around 1 hour and 15 to explore this lovely wee town, where you can do some shopping and lunch options, excellent place to take photos as well, much better than going with the pre arranged lunch. The Bus will then come back and pick you up on the way out. You will then visit on last stop before returning to Athens. The guide: Gemma was our guide, she was excellent, knowledgeable and really can't wait to answer your questions with her trademark long answers. I enjoy history so I asked some questions regarding the Persians etc and also early religious beliefs of the Greeks and got some detailed answers. She was always happy to joke around with the group. Very happy we had Gemma on the tour. Overall: I had a great experience on my one day tour of Delphi with Key Tours - I am pleased I feel like I made the right choice. Delphi itself is a stunning site well worth seeing - even if it's for a short time, if you are mainly based in Athens - this is a great trip to get out of the city for the day.

The one day tour to Delphi was thoroughly enjoyable and highly educational. I do not recall the tour guide's name, but she was expert, knowledgeable and engaging in her approach to the history of the site, as well as giving an overall introduction to Greece and surrounding areas. This is a four star review.

Costas and Demitri were great! They were knowledgeable and personable. I felt safe and well looked after the entire time. The lunch was a good value and not overpriced. I will certainly take another Key tour. Thanks for a great experience.

The stop off for food was good great hearty Greek food in lovely friendly restaurant. Great time of year to travel as roads clearer due to locals being away.
