1 star 1 star 1 star 1 star 1 star 4.8 out of 5 based on 28 reviews

From the Acropolis to Omonia Square, you'll see with this full day trip all the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens. Offering a perfect overview of the modern city, this guided tour will help you get your bearings if this is your first visit to Athens.

The Athens full-day tour depart for  a photo stop at Panathinaiko Stadium where the first  Olympic Games took place in 1896. Proceed, passing by Zappeion and Temple of Olympian Zeus.  You will then drive past the Athens Trilogy which includes the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Catholic Cathedral,  Old Parliament, Constitution Square ,Russian Orthodox Church, and finally ACROPOLIS.

Continue the expert guided Athens sightseeing and  Acropolis museum one day tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the  ACROPOLIS museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives,  statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you.

After a morning tour full of images continue in a local restaurant under the slopes of Acropolis for lunch. After lunch depart for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) to CAPE SOUNION. Cape Sounion is only 45 miles (70 kilometers) from Athens, making it the perfect lazy afternoon tour destination. The Cape's Temple of Poseidon is perched on a rocky hilltop overlooking the sea. The view across the Aegean is magnificent with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world, extending all the way to Kea and the Peloponnese on a clear day. The Temple of Poseidon was built in 44 B.C., and many of its original Doric columns are still standing. One of the columns has a graffiti left by none other than Lord Byron in the early 1800s. The precipice is a sheer 197 foot drop to the sea.

Strongly recommend the full day tour of Athens, Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and Cape Sounis. This tour includes a lovely two course lunch in a restaurant that is recommended by Trip Advisor. I found the lady tour guide on the trip I undertook on June 30 to be very friendly, knowledgeable and very patient when some co-passengers did not arrive in the bus in time. The driver of our coach was also very relaxed and careful driver.

The tour provided all of the highlights of Athens and then a very remarkable view at the Poseidon Temple. The lunch was incredible at an Athens outdoor cafe with salad, appetizers and a full entree. Tour guide was excellent, knowledgeable and sensitive to those with mobility issues

tour guide Christina was very good. Very knowledgeable. However, the company needs to improve its punctuality. We were told to be ready in the hotel lobby at 8 AM and the vehicle will pick us up at 8.05. However, we waited till 8.40 and rang up to be informed that the vehicle will pick us up in another 5 minutes. Finally we were picked up at 8.50. Similarly for the afternoon trip to Cape Sounio, we were told to be in their office at 14.30. When we reached there, we were told that the bus will come at 15.00. An otherwise excellent trip, was marred by these 2 incidents.

“I never thought a tour could be so interesting and amazing” It was a beautiful morning so keen to have a great day , i arrived at the Keys tours office as soon as i walked in the office i was greeted with a smile, then straight away they then took me to the bus i had to leave on, where i met our tour guide for the day , unbelievable already as we are driving through the city of Athens our tour guide went into action pointing out places of interest ahead of schedule as for not to miss out on any attractions, i done the Athens and Cape Sounion full day tour with lunch , the lunch was amazing the whole tour was amazing and our Tour guide Anastacia was full of knowledge and kept us intrigue the hole day even when we where driving in the coach she would point out attractions , I'm a fussy person and i was impressed

My family of 3 joined this tour on 18 May. It was a good introduction to Athens and Greece in general. The guide was informative and diligent in her efforts to give us as much information as possible. However, there are some areas which we feel may need to be looked into to improve the overall service and bring it up to higher levels comparable to those In other countries such as UK, Austria and Italy. One area is bringing a large group to a popular crowded place of interest without sufficient means of identification. Without a tag or some form of identification, a lot of time was wasted waiting around for the whole group to assemble and move on. Also, in areas of large crowds, such as in the Panthenon and the Museum, it would have been good for each person in the group to have an audio phone so that we could hear the tour guide's explanation. As it was, a couple walked off and did not inform the guide and we were unable to identify them as there was no tag on any of us.

Traveling solo for a bit and had limited time in Athens - wanted to pack in as much as possible so did a full day tour with lunch (skip the lunch by the way - it was in Plaka, but at a taverna with horrendous food and service - there are plenty of better places to eat, don't worry). Key tours had excellent customer service - prompt and clear communication via email, they pick you up/drop off at your hotel (but beware that you are with a group of multiple people at multiple hotels), all the entrance tickets to the monuments, etc are paid for, and our tour guide was phenomenal (thanks Maria!!) The tour itself was very informative and enjoyable - just the right pace, not too rushed, with some free time to explore. The morning was spent in Athens - touring the city on the bus, visiting the acropolis, the acropolis museum, and in the afternoon, a drive to Sounion to the temple of Poseidon (breathtaking!).
