Great tour! The ride was comfortable and all the route was planned well to cover the higlights of the city. Evangelos, our guide was very knowledgeable and gave a great Acropolis and Museum tour
I enjoyed this tour very much. We were picked up at hotel then we were driven around Athens for introductory tour. Our first stop was the Stadium of Athens then we stopped at our main destination the Acropolis. There are quite a few steps to climb but we had plenty of time and guidance to make it to the top. Our guide Sophia handled a quite large group which was difficult to do so and I commend her for her effort and dedication. We had plenty of alone time to explore the citadel. We met our guide later in the afternoon in lower region of acropolis so we could visit the new Acropolis Museum. I enjoyed this museum very much and also the café. We had free entry to both Acropolis site and museum, lunch was not included on this tour. I recommend this tour highly. I may add in large groups Key Tours may consider getting audio guides in the future so we can clearly hear the tour guide.
Excellent tour of the Acropolis and of the Museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The Museum was very impressive. I strongly recommend the tour with Key Tours. Note that this tour would require a lot of walking and climbing stairs, so plan accordingly.
The half-day Athens City Tour & Acropolis Museum was a great way to spend our first full day in Athens. After a pickup at a hotel a few blocks from our own, we took a narrated bus tour of the major sites of central Athens with a brief photo op at the Olympic Stadium. Then it’s on to the Acropolis, for a steep climb to the top where -- despite windy, rainy, umbrella-destroying weather -- our guide, Anastasia, provided a colorful narrative of Athens’ signature attraction. After the guided tour, we had some time to explore the Acropolis on our own before reconvening a few blocks away at the gorgeous new Acropolis Museum, where Anastasia led a comprehensive guided tour before directing us back to the bus for the ride back to our hotel. It’s a well-planned tour that oriented us for the rest of our visit to the Grecian capital. Only complaint: no real opportunity to grab lunch or even a snack on a tour that lasted from 7:30 a.m., when the bus was scheduled to pick us up, and close to 3 p.m., when we were dropped off.
“Gute Führung” Wir wurden vom Hotel rechtzeitig abgeholt mit dem Bus. Die Führung war gut organisiert und wir wurden gut über alles informiert. Gerne und jederzeit wieder!
We were picked up on time and driven to another location where we were distributed to various vehicles depending on the chosen tour. We did get off at the stadium for photos and a more detailed history. From there we passed by the same exact buildings on the way to Acropolis. However, the guide presented an awesome history and walking tour of Acropolis and the New Museum. This portion of the tour I would recommend to others. She was very pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable.
“engagierte Reiseleiterin haette das noch etwas dehnen koennen” Gut gemacht am Poseidon tempel haette man ruhig 20 Minuten länger bleiben können.
Recommended by friend, great communications before tour. Easy to locate Tour office or they picked you up at hotel. All sights around Athens seen including. Acropolis, Parthenon and Temple of Zues. Our guide Anna was brilliant, she was informative, calm and even when our Museum tickets failed to print, she apologised so many times in 30 mins. Her knowledge of Greece history saved the tour. A set menu local lunch was also at a 4 star TripAdvisor restaurant and everyone loved same. Then a 60 kilometre drive to south coast to see Temple of Posideon which was also great, the traffic was unfortunately long due to Being Sunday and beautifully hot. If you want to see it all in 1 day including lunch, do this tour. If you are lucky enough to get Anna, lucky you
The tour of the Acropolis was okay-- there wasn't information provided that I walked away with feeling like I learned a lot. The tour of the museum was great! Very insightful and very informative. If I did it over again, I would walk the Acropolis on my own and pick up the last half of the tour at the museum.
“Guide spoke English very well, very clear and informative.” Excellent tour, well worth the money.
