activity info

Visit the natural insular archaeological site of Delos and enjoy swimming to a secluded cove off the uninhabited island of Rhenia on an 7-hour yacht cruise.

You will be picked up from your hotel to reach the embarkation point of Agios Ioannis bay. Once an overview of the sailing yacht and important safety information are introduced, we are ready at 9:30 am to set sail heading to Rhenia & Delos islands, the center of the Cyclades and located few miles south-west of Mykonos. Our friendly crew will be happy to show you how to raise and trim the sails, to steer the yacht, weather permitting, as well as to share informative local history about the two famous islands. Chill out to the tunes of music of your choice and relax on deck sunbathing.

After approximately 1 hour sailing, you will arrive at the still untouched island of Rheniaseparated from the sacred island of Delos by just a small strait. Dropped anchor in the idyllic bay surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters and with gold sandy beach, you have about two hours to enjoy your swimming, snorkeling and savoring a light lunch on board of specially made pasta with beverages.

The next stop is the archaeological site of Delos where you will have 1½ hour to 2 hours at your disposal to explore the island. According to mythology, Delos is the birthplace of Apollo, god of daylight and of music, and his twin sister Artemis, goddess of night light and hunting. Delos, a 7-km long island, was not only a famous religious center but also a major commercial center. Since 1990 the whole island of Delos has been designated a World Cultural Property and is protected by UNESCO. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the museum and walk up Mount Kynthos, where you can enjoy the stunning view of the surrounding Cycladic islands (*Flexi program for clients who prefer to stay on board - a second beach stop for swimming).

After embarkation to our sailing yacht at 03:30 pm, we sail to Mykonos. Expected arrival time in Mykonos is at approximately 04:30 pm. Our crew will help you disembark by a short tender ride to the small dock in front of the Church of Agios Ioannis where our complimentary transportation will be waiting for you.

As we already know in Mykonos you can do many things, but sailing with KEY TOURS made the difference for me! In 2014 was my first sailing experience and i loved it! Last year was my second one and i loved it more! The crew was characterised by professionalism and kindness! The tour was great and we had the chance to see the hidden beauty of Delos and Rhenia! We swam at the pure bay of Rhenia and we enjoyed the lunch on boat! The best part of the tour was kept for the end, when Alessia had a surprise for us! The weather was good, so we made a mini stop and we saw the magnificent view of Little Venice and Windmills from the yacht! I certainly suggest the tour!

My wife and I had a wonderful time on this sailing excursion to see Rhenia and Delos. Sailing from Mykonos to Rhenia was beautiful and the water is so blue. Once at Rhenia we had a great time relaxing, doing some snorkeling, and eating a "boat-cooked" lunch, which was absolutely delicious. After a few hours off the coast of Rhenia we then sailed to Delos and were given about 1.5 hours to explore this extremely historical island. As the "birthplace of Apollo" there is a lot to explore and see on this island. Unfortunately, 1.5 hours is not nearly enough time to see everything. My wife and I hurried around the island to see as much as possible in this short amount of time. We saw almost everything we wanted to, but were unable to get to some of the farther out monuments such as the Temple of Zeus at the top of a large hill. Overall we had an awesome time on this trip and our guides were wonderful as well. We would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone wishing to see a couple smaller islands while around Mykonos.

We spent a day at sea with 8 other people on the sale boat. The trip was excellent with lots of space on the boat to relax and sunbath. The crew provided a pasta lunch and snorkelling equipment. The sea was quiet choppy of the way back but no one was sea sick. The crew were brilliant and let us steer the boat. A great day we would highly recommend.
