“It was good!”

There is not much to do in town after arrival so we had to take a Sunset tour which was great. Lots of good information and time to visit the monasteries.

Fulfilled a bucket list item

Since seeing “For Your Eyes Only” in 1981, visiting the monasteries of Meteora has been on my Top 10 bucket list items. Key Tours, represented by Katerine and Sotos helped to make it a wonderful and efficient experience last Friday. My family enjoyed the historical perspective provided by Katerine and the excellent navigation of Sotos. More than 35 years later, the monasteries did not disappoint. Happy to recommend for future travelers!

We really enjoyed the trip to meteora! The monasteries are beautiful and a sight to be seen. There is not a lot else to do in this small town but they do have some good restaurants. Definitely worth the trip.

The views are amazing! Totally worth it. The only comment is that Kalambaka town is really small and there is almost nothing to do there, so we decided to take a sunset tour in our free time. Great decision. The views are really different in the morning and in sunset time, so it is worth it to see them both times.

The train from Athens to Kalambaka left on time. It is fairly comfortable to sit in the first class coach and the beautiful Greek countryside views from the window are enjoyable. The driver who picked up us at Kalambaka train station is very friendly and responsible. The 4-star hotel is ok but the view of vertical cliffs and the distance view of the St. Stephen Monastery on a cliff from the hotel balcony is breathtaking. Kalambaka is a small town and there are not too much you can do there in the afternoon. We decided to take a 30-40 minute hiking trail from the old town at the foot of the rock mountain to the Holy Trinity Monastery (Agia Triada) that is perched on the top of a cliffy rock. Once you get to a road above the monastery, the view of the Monastery and its surroundings is magnificent. The tour to Meteora on the second day was great. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. The views of Meteora are serene and extraordinary. I highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour. The train left on time and first class was comfortable. The driver was waiting for us at the station in Kalabaka and took us to the 4-star hotel, comfortable and with very friendly staff. Beautiful view from the hotel balcony overlooking Meteora. Plenty of food for dinner, and breakfast was good too. The tour to the monasteries was wonderful, both the driver and the tour guide were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The views were fantastic and it was well worth it. Absolutely formidable. Everything worked perfectly and I totally recommend this tour.
