activity info

Take a day cruise from Athens to the fabulous Greek islands of Hydra, Poros and Aegina for a relaxing day on the sea. With all your transport, transfers and buffet lunch organized, (a delicious lunch and Greek folklore show aboard your ship are included), you can sit back and enjoy your leisurely day cruise with free time on each island to explore. After transferring from Athens to the port by motor coach, you'll set sail for the island of Poros, where you'll have free time for strolling and shopping.

Head ashore at the colorful capital and enjoy around two hours to look around on your own.

As you approach the island of Hydra admire the colourful  harbor and get tips from your guide on what to see and do on the island.  You will have about 2 hours  at leisure to enjoy the unique charms of Hydra island, whose amphitheater shape once served as a safe shelter for Saronic Pirates. Amble down the narrow lanes, relax over coffee, or buy souvenirs in the quaint shops. From the decks, you will be able to admire the very special architecture and dramatic landscapes of this island, whose old traditional stone houses and mansions silently stand witness to a long and turbulent history.

Upon arrival in Egina (Aegina)   a guided excursion to Egina's ancient Temple of Aphaia is also available at your own expense or take a walk around the main town. Aegina is one of the Saronic islands of Greece in the Saronic Gulf. The lovely island is only 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Athens, and is a popular getaway for Athenians during the summer months.

Return to your cruise-boat and sit down to enjoy a Greek folklore show of traditional music and dancing as you sail back to Piraeus. After an hour at sea, disembark and finish your trip with a drop-off (if option selected) in Athens.

VIP Cruise Experience:  Upgrade to enjoy special amenities and be spoiled in the VIP class lounge. Start with a shared transfer from hotel to port, enjoy a private check-in, and then relax in the VIP lounge. Enjoy a welcome drink and savor a buffet lunch in the VIP dining room. The VIP area is equipped with Wi-Fi, and on the second deck a tax-free luxury goods store awaits. In the summer, you'll be charmed by the sun deck and spacious open space with a comfortable sitting area and bar.

Another tour I enjoyed very much. We were picked up another hotel, the Hotel Athens Plaza as our hotel was not listed as one of the pick up stops, however the hotel assigned pick up point was only few minutes walk from our hotel. We were then driven to Pireas port and boarded the a small cruise boat which was quite full. By the time we got to board there were no good seats left on top deck of the boat for photo shots, so we opted to stand on side of the boat instead. Our first stop was the beautiful island of Hydra. We had about 90 minutes on this stop. My friend opted to take a walking tour which she enjoyed, however at mid point, the tour guide did not wait for all the participants and she disappeared, so my friend only had half of the tour. I visited Hydra few times before, so I opted to have a traditional lunch at a local restaurant overlooking the dock, which was tasty. When we left Hydra, there was a lunch buffet on the boat for the 1st group. My friend took the first lunch and enjoyed it. I took later lunch assigned to second group which I think was around 3pm. The food was quite good and lots to eat. Our Second stop was Poros. We only had about 30 minutes for this stop. I really liked this island and wish we had more time. We opted to relax at a café overlooking the port and drink local Frappe (cold Nescafe coffee) which was great. Our 3rd and last stop was the beautiful Greek Island of Aegina known for its Pistachios, the mini Temple of Athena and St Nectarios Church. I opted to take the offered tour because I wanted to visit both the Temple and Church. I enjoyed both and wish we had more time at this dock (duration 90 minutes). I purchased few bags of pistachios which were sold near the church and purchased pistachio ice cream at souvenir shop by the temple. The pistachio ice cream at the souvenir shop was the best I ever tasted. Wish I could eat much more. We then set off back to Athens and arrived late in the evening and then dropped off back to hotel drop off point. I recommend this our tour very highly

“Super Ausflug” Leider extrem viele Leute. Mittagessen in 2.

“Excellent! Most enjoyable!” I would have skipped Poros and only have done Hydra and Aegina. There was just too little time to explore Poros too. Bit it was really beautiful and well organised and good value for money.
