“AMAZING !!!! MUST DO THIS if you are Greece....” It doesn't get any more historical... or magnificent... the tour guide, Yiouli, was incredible. She knows so much and is so full of energy that the long tour seems to go by seamlessly. I could listen to her talk about Greek history and mythology for hours... this is a truly inspiring trip that should not be missed...
The tour was great. The guide, Anna, was very kind and interesting, and told us many things about Greek history and Greece as it is today. We learned a lot. The views on the way and in Delphi itself were spectacular. Great way to get out of the busy city and city a little of Greece.
We took a day tour from Athens to Delphi and back with Key tours. The tour consisted mostly of adults but we had our 7 year old son with us and he liked the tour as well. We were picked up in the Plaka, near our hotel and promptly at 8 as we were told we would be. From there, the bus made several more stops to pick up additional tourists and then we left Athens for Delphi. The bus was clean, modern and pretty much what you'd expect of a tour bus. I'm a tall person and I fit into my seat just fine. During the 3 hour ride up to Delphi, the tour guide gave us all sorts of information and pointed out historical sites along the way and we made one stop halfway for bathrooms and drinks. Upon reaching Delphi, we saw the temple of Apollo for about an hour and then made our way to the museum where we spent about 45 minutes looking around while the tour guide gave us highlights on certain objects in the museum. Overall I thought the museum was very well done and informative. After leaving the museum, we stopped at a local restaurant where we were served a pasta lunch with some Greek food items and only the drinks were not included in the tour price. After lunch, we made a couple more short stops to look at the very pretty mountainous landscape surrounding Delphi before heading back to Athens. We returned to Athens about 8 pm that evening and the tour guide was very accommodating with letting people be dropped off where they wanted to. I thought it was a very well run tour and a very good deal for the price. It does make for a long day but you're sitting for a good part of it. I definitely recommend this day tour to Delphi to anyone who has limited time in the Athens area and is looking to see more of ancient Greece.
We took the 1 day tour from Athens to Delphi and truly enjoyed the bus ride and information throughout the drive and the sites. Our guide Yuoilia and driver Costas did a great job at keeping us informed and safe as we made our way through the mountains and scenic small towns. It was a treat to see the millions of olive trees in the valley groves. Will definitely book another excursion with Key Tours!
Toller Guide, interessantes Programm, guter Bus und Fahrer! Alles einwandfrei!
We had a day tour to Delphi with Keytours this week (Jan 17). In short I would say it was a very enjoyble day. We booked the tour and paid online last month, they were very organised, responded straightaway with confirmation and arrangements for picking up from the hotel. They arrived at the hotel on time at 7:45 AM, we then moved to the big tour bus at the company office. The trip took less than three hours each way to and back. The bus was very convenient and with free wifi. We stopped on the way at a cafe for 20 min. At Delphi we went straight to appolo's temple, had a guided tour and then time to go around by ourselves. After that went to the museum for a guided tour, then had lunch at a very nice authentic Greek restaurant at the tip of the mountain, and had time to get some pictures of the amazing view. We then stopped for a short time at a nice village on the way (village of Arachova, check ot online, its buietiful), then headed home, stopped for a short break on the way back, and the bus tok us back to the hotel. The highlight of the trip was our tour guide (Katia), she is very knowledgable, passionate about the Greek History, all the way and back she gave us lots of information and interesting facts about the country and its history. She is very helpful, answers all the questions and taking care of all small details. We realy enjoyed the day, and would recommend it if you are visiting Greece.
I've travelled all over the world and booked several tours of all types and the Key Tours Full Day Tour of Delphi is by miles the best one. Everything was top notch - from the vehicle to the guide. We were picked up at our hotel and joined a bigger group, with whom we them got on a wonderful van - it was new, comfortable and spacious. The two hour ride to Delphi seemed like much less thanks to our lovely guide, Marianna Tsigaridou, who made this one of the best days of our lives. She knew so much, and was happy to share it with us, showing us that she really enjoined what she was doing. Her complete and detailed descriptions of sights and objects, even with background stories, made the ruins and sculptures come alive in our eyes. We stopped at a restaurant that was surprisingly good given that most at these tours are just decent food with pretty views. The food was delicious and the view was breathtaking. The stops along the way were very pleasant, again Marianna was very attentive, warning us in advance when there were great sights to photograph. Overall, nothing was sloppy or poorly planned; we were aided by trained and competent professionals who enjoyed what they were doing. We spent the right time at every sight and left feeling like we didn't miss a thing. I could go on and on about how amazing it all was, but I'll simply say that if you are in Athens and looking for a great tour company, you just found it.
We took the 10 hour Delphi day trip from Athens. Our guide was Sophia and driver George. From the minute we boarded the small bus Sophia started giving us the history of Athens etc. She was absolutely brilliant all day. On the 3 hour drive she told us about the cotton industry ,the Greek partisans, and the many battles fought in the area. It was all fascinating. Around Delphi she talked about all the buildings and legends accompanying the stories. In the Museum she was a wealth of knowledge. All in all it was a wonderful day ,but thanks to Sophia for making it so. She was so good. My only complaint was the very short stop in the pretty town of Arachova. It would have been lovely to have stopped here for lunch rather out of the towns. We rushed around taking photos of what was a very pretty town with spectacular views. At least we stopped. All in all I would highly recommend this trip done by Key Tours. Thank you Sophia for bringing history alive.
We have visited Greece and explore around the country and it was great cultural and historical country in the world, we were very happy to see the different trips around. We have had fantastic tour guide until the Delphi, She was supper and very informative and friendly we were very happy to have her as our best guide on particularly on the Delphi tour. She is highly recommended.
