1 star 1 star 1 star 1 star 1 star 4.8 out of 5 based on 134 reviews

Explore with this guided one full day trip from Athens to Argolis the remains of the ancient city of Mycenae a major centre of Greek civilization from 1600BC to 1100BC and a world heritage monument.

Depart from our terminal for one day tour via the coastal National highway for the Corinth canal (short stop). After the Corinth Canal, you enter the region of Argolis, land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold which dominated much of southern Greece . Visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra's, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure. Time will then be taken for a traditional Greek optional lunch  at a nearby restaurant.   Before lunch an optional stop in a pottery factory. After lunch through ARGOS proceed to Nauplia the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian fortress of  PALAMIDI and the fortified islet of BOURTZI (short stop).

Continue on to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. The  Argolis (Mycenae - Epidaurus)  day tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Epidaurus and Mycenae! First of all, it was well organized, with the pick-up at our hotel, and transfer to the tour bus. Our guide (Katya) was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and knew how long to spend at each location. As a result, we saw a lot in just one day! We feel like we have a much better understanding now of Greek history and culture, and we loved seeing this beautiful part of the country. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to see something outside of Athens. We learned a lot and would happily do another day trip like this the next time we are in Athens.

We took the one day 10 hour tour of Epidaurus, Nafplio, Corinth, and Mycenae with Fantasy Travel. It was interesting, beautiful, and enjoyable. They picked us up from our hotel in the morning. The bus was comfortable. The views of the sea and villages we passed were as enjoyable as visiting the sites. We had a knowlegeable, fun tour guide and a good lunch. All of the stops were interesting, although Mycenae and Nafplio were the best. I would have liked to spend longer in Nafplio as it is so beautiful.

We visited both Mycenae and Epidavros, second time for us, first for our kids ages 11, 13, and 18. All enjoyed and appreciated it all. A must for those who value such important sites.

Well today was absolutely amazing, thank you for looking after us Andreas. Anna was wonderful, such a wealth of knowledge, she is a credit to your company and to womanhood, so smart! Also Yiorgos drove with care and respect, he is a gentleman. So what a day, we feel so spoilt and pampered, all the sights we visited were incredible!!! Corinth Canal, Epidavras, Mycenae, Napflion, wow! The lunch meal delicious, we had a ball? Thank you, and we cannot wait until Saturday for the Island hope. We feel selfish & embarrassed with all that Greece has to bare at this time, it is a credit to the character of the Greeks that you go on as you do caring for others. Our love, Gayle and George (Australia)

We loved the Argolis tour. Very compact and intense yet not stressful experience of one of the most historical regions of Greece. Our guide, the lovely Greek lady Marianna Tsigaridou guided us through the mysteries of Mycaene and Epidaurus with her lively and very informative narration. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great trip. More driving, but also more stops than the Delphi tour. Food was subpar at lunch, no WiFi, otherwise good. Our guide, Christina, was wonderful!
