1 star 1 star 1 star 1 star 1 star 4.8 out of 5 based on 93 reviews

Explore with this guided one full day trip from Athens to Argolis the remains of the ancient city of Mycenae a major centre of Greek civilization from 1600BC to 1100BC and a world heritage monument.

Depart from our terminal for one day tour via the coastal National highway for the Corinth canal (short stop). After the Corinth Canal, you enter the region of Argolis, land of Homer’s Golden Mycenae, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dating back to the second century B.C., Mycenae was one of the major centers of Greek civilization and a military stronghold which dominated much of southern Greece . Visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. You will see the Cyclopean Walls, the Lion’s Gate, the Royal Tombs, including Agamemnon Clytemnestra's, and the Treasury of Atreus, a magnificent 14th-century B.C. structure. Time will then be taken for a traditional Greek optional lunch  at a nearby restaurant.   Before lunch an optional stop in a pottery factory. After lunch through ARGOS proceed to Nauplia the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian fortress of  PALAMIDI and the fortified islet of BOURTZI (short stop).

Continue on to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. The  Argolis (Mycenae - Epidaurus)  day tour returns to Athens in the late afternoon.

We took 3 tours: Cape Sounion, Mycenae/Epidaurus, and Delphi. All the three guides were very knowledgeable, and excellent at narrating. I wish we took the Acropolis & Acropolis Museum tour from them. They were on time for both pickup and drop-off. I am very satisfied with their tours and strongly recommend them. Usually, I take private tours but with these guys, I could not believe that they do such a good job with live narration while in bus. They spend enormous amount of time explaining every little thing and in a simple manner too.

Our guide Marianna is very easy to understand. She explains every thing very well and is happy to answer questions. The restaurant is charming, the moussaka, the salad and the fruit were good, however the meat skewers were a little bit dry.

Great tour! We went on the Delphi and Mycenae day trips. Bus picked us up at our hotel for the start of our tour and dropped us off at our hotel at the end of our tour. Our guide, Christina, was extremely knowledgable about the sights and Greece history. She was helpful and courteous and we saw many amazing historical sights we never would have seen on our own. Highly recommend.

Well organised with Eve an excellent tour guide. She and Lukas the driver, looked after us well. We elected not to eat lunch at the small farming village near Mycenae and wandered happily eating our bananas, and finding a local kiosk for coffee and ice creams. Thanks to Key Tours

We have just recently returned home from a tour of Greece and we did many tours with Key Day Tours. We did full day tours to Delphi that included lunch and it was well worth the money. The lunch we had was tasty, and allowed us to mingle with locals. We also did Athens sightseeing tour, Epidaurus & Mycenae tour we were accompanied by an informed guide on all our tours. We were booked on the Athens sightseeing tour only that didn't include the Acropolis Museum they happily accommodated us to include the extra tour. All pick ups were on time and were professional. One tour was cancelled due to a protest that closed the whole city centre. We were notified immediately and money was returned that afternoon.Happy to recommend this tour company.
